1. Operator and acceptance
American Luxury LLC operates the Meridian Talent House brand (collectively, “Meridian,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms apply to meridiantalenthouse.com and related forms, portals, applications, opportunity pages, and services that link to them.
By accessing the platform, creating an account, submitting an application or staffing request, or electronically accepting these Terms, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the platform for a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company.
You must be at least 18 years old to apply as talent, create an account, or enter a service relationship through the platform.
2. Platform, applications, and accounts
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account and must promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access.
Submitting an application, profile, staffing request, or inquiry does not guarantee acceptance, representation, an assignment, a particular talent match, availability, or a booking. Meridian may verify submitted information, contact references with permission, request additional materials, and decline or remove submissions that are incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, unsafe, discriminatory, unlawful, or inconsistent with platform standards.
The words “talent,” “staff,” and “service provider” on this website describe platform roles only. These Terms do not determine whether any individual is an employee or independent contractor. Classification depends on the governing law and the actual working relationship and may be addressed in a separate written agreement.
3. Staffing services and separate agreements
Meridian connects clients with talent for brand ambassador, event staffing, trade show, promotional, commercial, and related services. Final scope, staffing count, schedule, location, rates, expenses, payment milestones, responsibilities, and event requirements must be stated in a Client Staffing Agreement, booking confirmation, statement of work, or other written confirmation.
If a signed client or talent agreement conflicts with these website Terms, the signed agreement controls for the specific service relationship. Clients are responsible for safe and lawful working conditions, accurate event requirements, authorized venues, lawful selection criteria, and timely notice of changes. Talent must follow confirmed lawful event instructions, promptly report conflicts or safety concerns, and accurately communicate availability.
Meridian may propose replacement talent when confirmed talent becomes unavailable, but cannot guarantee that any particular person will remain available. A replacement will be selected using reasonable efforts based on the confirmed role requirements.
4. Payments, cancellations, refunds, and rescheduling
Prices, deposits, payment schedules, labor charges, travel, approved expenses, and taxes are established in the applicable written client agreement or booking confirmation. Third-party payment processors may apply their own terms.
- Before payment: a new or pending request may generally be edited or cancelled without a cancellation charge.
- After work begins: once Meridian begins matching, outreach, job posting, shortlisting, interviewing, or booking coordination, the deposit is nonrefundable except as Meridian agrees in writing.
- More than 7 calendar days before the event: the client remains responsible for the deposit and approved nonrecoverable expenses.
- Between 7 days and 48 hours before the event: the client may be responsible for 50% of remaining confirmed labor charges, plus the deposit and approved expenses.
- Less than 48 hours before the event, after talent travels, or after work begins: the full confirmed engagement amount and approved expenses may be due.
- Meridian cannot staff the engagement: if Meridian cannot provide confirmed talent or a reasonably qualified replacement, the client will receive a refund or credit for the unperformed portion, excluding completed work and approved nonrecoverable expenses.
Rescheduling depends on talent and venue availability and may require an updated scope, price, or payment schedule. For severe weather, emergency, venue closure, government restriction, strike, utility failure, or another event outside reasonable control, the parties will use reasonable efforts to reschedule or issue an appropriate credit, while completed work and nonrecoverable expenses remain payable.
Subjective dissatisfaction based on a protected characteristic, an unlawful preference, or a preference not lawfully disclosed before confirmation is not grounds for a refund.
5. Email, calls, and text messages
You authorize Meridian to contact you using the contact information you provide for applications, interviews, opportunities, staffing requests, accounts, payments, schedules, safety, and bookings. Consent to automated or marketing text messages is requested separately where required and is not a condition of purchase or talent consideration.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may reply STOP, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, OPT OUT, or UNSUBSCRIBE, or contact us using the information below, to withdraw text-message consent. Reply HELP for assistance. Text-message keywords such as STOP and HELP are recognized in English. An opt-out may prevent delivery of time-sensitive scheduling information, so keep an alternative contact method current.
6. Talent content and media
You retain ownership of photographs, videos, resumes, profile information, and other materials you submit. You grant Meridian a nonexclusive, limited license to store, copy, resize, format, and share those materials as reasonably necessary to review applications, administer accounts, perform private client matching, confirm bookings, prevent fraud, and operate the platform.
Public promotional use—such as the public talent network, social media, advertising, campaigns, and pitch materials—requires the separate authorization described in the Talent Media Release. Private matching consent does not by itself authorize public advertising use.
You represent that you have the right to submit your content and that it does not violate another person’s privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or other rights. Meridian may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
7. Acceptable conduct and nondiscrimination
You may not misuse the platform, attempt unauthorized access, scrape or harvest personal information, impersonate another person, upload malicious material, bypass payment or matching processes, harass users, or use platform information for an unrelated purpose.
Clients and talent must comply with applicable equal employment, civil-rights, accessibility, wage-and-hour, safety, licensing, and anti-harassment laws. Requests or decisions based on race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, or another legally protected characteristic are prohibited except where a lawful and documented exception applies.
8. Meridian intellectual property and third parties
Except for user-submitted content, the platform, branding, design, text, workflows, graphics, and original materials are owned by or licensed to Meridian. You may not reproduce, sell, modify, or commercially exploit them without written permission.
The platform may use third-party hosting, authentication, storage, analytics, payment, email, and communications providers. Their services may be governed by separate terms. Meridian is not responsible for third-party services outside its reasonable control.
9. Disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the platform is provided “as is” and “as available.” Meridian disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement. Meridian does not guarantee uninterrupted access, employment, assignments, applicant quality, client payment, event attendance, or business results.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Meridian will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, lost profits, lost opportunities, loss of data, or reputational harm. Meridian’s aggregate liability arising from the matter will not exceed the amount the claimant paid Meridian for the service giving rise to the claim during the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability, or $100 if the claimant paid nothing. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless American Luxury LLC, Meridian, and their officers, representatives, and service providers from third-party claims, damages, penalties, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful conduct, material breach of these Terms, infringement or misuse of another person’s rights, or information, instructions, content, premises, or event conditions you control. This obligation does not require indemnification for Meridian’s own fraud, willful misconduct, or liability that cannot lawfully be shifted.
10. Suspension, changes, and governing law
Meridian may suspend access, decline a request, archive an account, or terminate platform use for breach, safety concerns, fraud, nonpayment, legal risk, inactivity, or misuse. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including payment, ownership, limitations, indemnification, records, and dispute provisions—will survive.
These Terms are governed by Pennsylvania law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Except where applicable law requires otherwise, proceedings relating to these Terms must be brought in the state or federal courts serving Delaware County, Pennsylvania, and each party consents to that venue and jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms prospectively. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and, when appropriate, communicated through the platform. If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
11. Language and translations
These Terms, our Privacy Policy, all staffing and booking agreements, and other legal documents are provided in English, and the English version controls. Where we show notices, emails or site text in Spanish or Chinese, that is for convenience only. It may be machine-generated, may contain errors, and does not change the English document. If a translation and the English differ, the English controls. Before you sign any English-language agreement, you may take time to read it, or to have it read and explained to you in your own language by a person of your choosing. Messages you send through the platform may be automatically translated as described in our Privacy Policy.
